La Section d’Investigation Criminelle pour laquelle travaille Shinya Kogami est chargée d’appliquer les mesures lorsqu’un individu est jugé dangereux. Akane Tsunemori est une fraîche recrue qui intègre tout juste la section et qui se rendra vite compte que sur le terrain, les choses ne sont pas comme elle les a apprises.
