L’histoire se centre sur Oosuki Masato, un jeune lycéen tout ce qu’il y a de plus ordinaire. Un jour, après avoir rempli un étrange sondage, il apprend qu’il est sélectionné pour tester un nouveau jeu vidéo en ligne très réaliste permettant au joueur de rentrer dans ce jeu. Il s’agit d’une occasion en or pour Masato, ce dernier voulant s’éloigner de sa mère surprotectrice et ainsi devenir un homme. Malheureusement pour lui, sa mère fait aussi partie du projet et le rejoint donc dans ce fameux jeu vidéo. Pour ne rien arranger, Oosuki Mamako, la mère de Masato, semble posséder de nombreuses capacités, la rendant beaucoup plus puissante que son fils.
