L’histoire nous entraîne dans le quotidien de Konomi Kasahara, une championne des jeux de puzzle type Tetris. Cependant, après avoir remarqué que ses notes étaient en chute libre, elle a décidé d’abandonner les jeux pour pouvoir entrer dans le lycée de son choix.
Un jour, alors qu’elle recherche un club dans lequel elle pourrait s’inscrire, elle tombe sur un mur d’escalade. Après avoir échoué une fois, elle remarque que les parois servant à gravir le mur ressemblent étrangement aux jeux de puzzle.
C’est ainsi, après une prestation exemplaire, qu’elle rejoint le club d’escalade de son lycée !
