Japon, 2030. Une terrible épidémie s’est répandue sur l’ensemble de la planète. Seules quelques années ont suffi pour que « Gibier », le virus à l’origine de cette catastrophe mondiale, raye de la carte la plupart des villes du globe. Les patients qui sont touchés sont transformés en monstres sanguinaires ultra-violents.
C’est dans un environnement totalement ruiné que shinobis et samouraïs s’allient pour vaincre la menace. Aidés d’un médecin qui a voué sa carrière entière à trouver un remède pour soigner l’infection et stopper l’épidémie, les deux guerriers entament un périlleux voyage au cœur d’un pays ravagé par la haine. Ensemble, ils sillonneront le pays et devront affronter une horde d’ennemis incessante : les « Gibier » comme les malfaiteurs voudront leur peau.
